5.0 out of 5 starsOff to a GREAT Start

I loved it. Although they won't be travelling, I feel that the designers are bring that flare. I was just in AWE with Gary's designs (I'm a guy). I don't care. I'll be putting in my order. I love the charm Heidi and Tim continue to have. I'm happy Making the Cut is back for another season. WHY ONLY 2 episodes AMAZON?!?!? Just release the whole season already! :)

1.0 out of 5 starsAnd the winner is….glitter
Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2021
Andrea’s final collection looked like a marriage among Wet Seal, DEB, & 5-7-9…glitter, sequins, cheetah print and stretchy fabrics…A collection worthy of Josie & the Pussycat Dolls. The show is about creating the next global brand…not the next item in Heidi’s closet. Gary was the clear winner - his craftsmanship and perspective are so unique. He creates wearable art. The judges got it wrong last year, too. If the show goes on, there needs to be better judging.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gary was robbed.
Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2021
He was the only designer with a truly unique voice, point of view, and the ability to create mind-blowingly beautiful textiles. The Andreas brought nothing new to the table. Their looks, be they bolero jackets or bridal wear, have been seen up and down the runways for decades, but Gary was and is timeless. He is modern nostalgia. What a terrible and inexcusable disappointment :-(

1.0 out of 5 stars Can Tim Gunn have his own "mentor" show?
Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2021
He is the only reason I am interested in this franchise, and he seems to be the only one with a brain and an ego in check. I truly am interested in what he has to say, and his knowledge of fashion history is totally wasted here.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gary deserved to win!
Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2021
Justice for Gary!!! I can't believe he didn't win. He was the only one who had a voice that spoke to a generation that wants change, that inspires people and makes us reflect in our heritage and identity. Jeremy Scott (the only judge who is also an artist/designer) couldn't have put it in better works, Gary has a unique vision. Nothing against the two other designers but we have seen those clothes from Zara, H&M, and other high street brands. Additionally what really pisses me off is that Heidi and Winnie didn't realise his potential. Now actually Gary's dresses from previous episodes are doing well on Amazon even sold out (just look at the positive reviews!) while Andrea's (the winner) have had issues and are not sold out. The consumer, our generation, wants something different, something that has a story. This is a missed opportunity. I'm tired of this type of shows underestimating the consumer. only good things of this season: Tim, Jeremy and Gary.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a fashion show
Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2021
This is a clothing show... Bad clothing. But besides that, let me get this straight, the white guy gets another chance because he made a printed suit a while back, but the black guy who made a finished garment for this challenge went home?? Jeremy scott referring to a print as ethnic like he lives in the 1900. This is a representation of exactly how the fashion world works. Disappointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars I can't watch this show
Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2021
I adore Tim Gunn and Project Runway. I WANT to like this show. But I had to turn off the TV. Last season was bad, but at least there was Naomi Campbell, and the designers were so interesting. This season is worse. SOOOO boring, there's no real organizing idea here, no framework for the show. Just... hey, design us something. No top three and bottom three. It's chaos. But the HUGE problem that makes this show unwatchable for me are the Production values and the LOUD music that plays throughout the WHOLE show. I can barely hear what people are saying. Why the loud vocal music?????? The editing is terrible, the lighting is off, there's no one narrating what we are seeing. I can't even get a handle on whether this first episode was one day or four days. And I simply CANNOT, WILL NOT, listen to Heidi say AGAIN, "Have you changed your mind??????" to EACH of the judges. Nope. Can't do it. After one episode, I could feel my stress levels going through the roof. For my own health, I will no longer watch this show.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unfair result and injustice against the most talented candidate of all
Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2021
I completely agree with Jeremy Scott that the guy should have won. The only true designer out the 3 finalists and the one with the most potential to develop. Instead Winnie decided to play racial favoritism as opposed to being impartial and objective.
I liked the girl that won , she is a sweet handworking fighter and she truly deserves success. Also the Colombian girl is also another fighter and I am sure she will also do very well.
But neither girl has the true design talent and vision that Gary has and the potential to do something truly unique and fresh. It was blatantly obvious but Winnie just decided to help a sister as opposed to the best designer. It is a shame

1.0 out of 5 stars Amazon chose cheap clothing over ART
Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2021
The winners clothing line "Pantora" is not special. It looks like everything you can find at any Fast Fashion website/store. Her rip off Balenciaga sweaters and Balmain inspired t-shirts would get her kicked out of any respectable undergraduate fashion program LOL. I think her cat ear hats are probably the best example of how unoriginal she really is. She had a million dollars and she really gave us cheap cat ear hats. Amazon could have elevated Gary, a true artist, but they choose to go with with H&M over real fashion. If you are wondering why she won just look at the price point of her clothing in comparison to the runner up designers and you will see that her basic designs are the cheapest to manufacture and therefore will sell the greatest volume. This isn't about fashion or even good design its about selling cheap clothing. Nothing noteworthy or even wroth looking at. SAD...

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst ending of Making the Cut
Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2021
Gary was the winner, he is the true artist of Season 2. The one DESIGNER judge was 100% spot on about loving Gary's designs and his incredible vision with the fabrics and shapes of the clothes in his collection.
Andrea's final show was 4 sparkly robes, a few nice sparkly patterns, but nothing interesting in the shapes of her clothes. Boooo.

1.0 out of 5 stars So Boring...and where's Naomi Campbell?
Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2021
This show was so boring and uninspiring that I began to fall asleep during the first few minutes. I did manage to watch the majority of the show during my nod-offs though. Heidi and Tim Gunn's dialogues are so cheesy and unnecessary. The designs were not good and the judges were very mean-spirited. I hope Naomi Campbell comes back to bring some life to this dreadful show. It's time for Heidi to be replaced seriously. I can't stand her fakeness and attitude. Love Tim Gunn though. The new judges are NOT contributors and do not provide enough constructive critique. The show really does need Naomi for that.
