I LOVE the cat door! I've got an American Bulldog but 2 kittens and I love that I can allow the cats their freedom while keeping my bully from poop snacking! I like how this gate has a simple design AND that it's 1 handed operation. A bonus I didn't think about when buying this is that it has auto closure! Instalation was super easy. LOVE IT and highly recommend!

Cheap plastic

Thought item would be solid metal material is plastic and easel be pushed off. My dog is 60+ pounds and Was able to knock this off .I do not recommend this product

The gate is very well designed and built. The little door allows our cats through but keeps the dog out. I bought two gates, and installed the first gate using the pressure method, where you tighten support pads against the door frame. That works OK, especially if you think you might remove the gate later on, but you should really tighten those pads well, in case you accidentally bump into the gate. For our second gate, in another part of the house, I used the hardware mounts that screw into door frame. This is provided a rock-solid mount for the gate, and I recommend it.
An installation note: Be sure to follow the instructions, and do NOT cut the plastic strapping that holds the gate together before you install the gate. The strapping keeps the gate’s door aligned properly so that you can properly extend the mounting screws.

Great Dog Gate

We use this on our back deck to gate in our dog. It's perfect for him. If I had to say one negative thing, there is a bar going across the bottom of the gate....we couldn't put the gate flush with the deck because of some molding on the rails...we had to lift it about 1/4 an inch over the molding to the flat part of the rail. So the bar lifted off the deck even slightly makes for a potential tripping hazard.

I usually make my husband install stuff like this but it only took me about 5 minutes and is perfect for keeping our dogs out of the room the cats litter box is in. Definitely well worth the money, should have bought it sooner!

I use this gate to prevent my dog from getting into the room where the cat food is and from going upstairs. My pup weighs almost 70 lbs and has yet to knock this gate down. She is a full of energy one year old and does not bother the gate at all. The cats use the small door. The gate opening is plenty large enough to walk through and very easy to open and close. I have two of them.

This gate is great. It opens in two directions (outward and inward) which was a bonus. it was easy to install and is very sturdy. The gate opening to go through is wide and will shut by itself. It will stay open if opened all the way. It was purchased to keep my daughters pit bull/bulldog mix from roaming the house while not home. It's still in training. Very pleased with this product.

I’ve used all sorts of “baby gates” in the last. This is on par with the best. It’s sturdy, easy to install (I didn’t use the permanent mounts though), and the animals have no issue with it.
The cats all sit through the small door, even the two 14 pounders which is what I was concerned about.
The main door (and the small door for that matter) swings either direction, which is really handy and allows for some flexibility in installation direction.

The girlfriend’s parents even liked it and got one for their house. They have a really energetic chocolate lab and he hasn’t knocked it down yet.

The only thing I wish I could find is a gate with a smaller lower piece so there’s less of a trip hazard, but I don’t count that against this gate.

I have 4 other pet gates for other rooms. This one seems to be the best of all of them I have. It has a wide opening (about 22 1/2 inches wide for the gate) and will stay open if you open it to about 90 degrees, and otherwise it will close on its own. It was very easy to install, and all parts are excellent quality. The lock works very well. It is made of metal, other than the locking mechanism that is made of heavy duty plastic.I will probably buy several more to replace some of my other gates. I was pleased that I could order it with or without the small door for smaller pets (I chose the option to not have the small door and saved about $10 because of my choice. I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with this quality product. THANK YOU!!!!

Fits the bill

We have a Rottweiler and German Shepherd, and while they are good family dogs, they don’t act very welcoming with unknown guests. Some of our extended family that the dogs know and love, don’t really like the dogs attention. We bought this for the holidays when guests are over, as well as to separate them when they eat. They both were contained, and the GSD tried to open it, nudging it with his nose, but soon gave up. I like that it will stay open by pushing it in a lock position, but will also close shut on its own when you need it to.
