The sun sucks

I bought these sleeves to protect my arms from the sun. The material is thin, so it’s keeps you cool. There is no stitching on the arm part, it’s only on the ends. The end of the sleeves don’t leave marks on your arms from the stitching. It’s like spandex material. If you stretch it out to the max you can see through it. I’ll leave a updated review once I use them.

Update a month later one ripped from a tread hanging out. For the work I do it doesn’t mater. These are going to take a beating. The work well. Keep my arms cool. I would recommend these to keep the sun off your arms

Another update it’s been a couple months they all ripped. They worked good for awhile.

Falling apart already :(

Bought these to cover up my tattoos at my job. They do the job but are already falling apart after only 2 delicate washes. Disappointed in this purchase.

UPDATE: after this review the company contacted me and sent me 4 pairs of the black arm covers. Today is my first day wearing the black ones and they feel a little bit sturdier than the white ones. Not sure why, I think they’re the same material, but I can pull the arm band all the way up to my bicep and it isn’t rolling down. I will say I appreciated the company reaching out to make it right. We will see if they handle delicate washing better than the white arm bands. Changing review to 3 stars until this is determined.

Best I've ever worn. I've been golfing for 30+ years and have been wearing sun sleeves off and on for a majority of these years. I've bought Nike, FJ, and some other brands. These are the best by far out of all the ones I've worn. I gave the 4 stars because of a common problem with all these brands of sleeves. The stitching comes loose and you don't catch it right away, it'll get worse and worse. I bought 8 pairs and after the first washing, I had to sew up four of the sleeves to stop the unraveling. I don't mind doing this because like I said, it's a common problem and these are the best that I've bought so far.

11/15/2019 changed to 3 stars. after several washings, one pair (the white ones) had a tear in one sleeve and a hole in the other. The other white pair had a slight unraveling in the upper seam of one sleeve. I still like these sleeves but the stitching could be better.

Super Fragile Material

The company has heard my issues with the product and was kind enough to send me a replacement. The product is good! Just fragile, so be cautious coming into contact with any rough surfaces or objects!

***BUYER BEWARE***

These arm sleeves were actually nice to wear, however, I did NOT get to enjoy them for maybe a total of 15 minutes as I quickly realized how FRAGILE the material is.

On my morning jog today before work, I happened to get about halfway down my street and brushed past one of my neighbors bushes, and in doing so, a SINGLE STRAND of the material was pulled and left this GAPING HOLE in my newly purchased product.

I'm quite upset, because initially putting these on, it felt like it was going to do exactly as advertised and felt comfortable. However, simply brushing past a tree branch or bush of any sort (and I assume any velcro patches of any kind) will rip the sleeve instantly.

Unfortunately, there IS NOT any sort of warning or disclaimer in the product description or even on the packaging it came in to let anyone know of the fragility of the product. Had there been, I would have taken extra precautions to NOT let the sleeve come in contact with ANYTHING coarse or rough.

Rating 1 star at the moment for the excitement and then IMMEDIATE disappointment of the product and its functionality. There really should be a disclaimer on the packaging or in the product description to let your consumers know NOT to get in contact with coarse/rough surfaces or materials to prevent any tearing or damage to the product.

Will possibly consider changing my review rating depending on how customer service handles my issue with the product. And if I can somehow get a replacement sleeve for the one I ended up damaging 15 minutes after use.

Very effective, not very durable

As far as giving it 5 starts for sun protection, breathability, and comfort-----all of that is true. These are very, very lightweight and yet perform very well in term of UV protection. Unfortunately, there are always tradeoffs. I believe for the money they are a good deal, but they will only last if you treat them gently. They will snag very badly on velcro (e.g., on your riding gloves) and once a thread 'runner' starts you've got to be particularly careful.

So Ive been wearing these for about 3 months and do they work? YES. But, there are some issues. I am tall, my arms are 20in long from wrist to shoulder. These cover 18in of my arm once on. So if I wear a men's t-shirt where the sleeves are a bit longer, its fine, but some women shirts I have a gap that I need to apply sunscreen to. Also after abut 10 or so washes the tops of these where they're folded over and stitched comes loose, and then they start to fray. So you can reinforce the stitches from the get go and be in good condition, or let them fray. I don't think will last me more then a yr, but I do use all 4 weekly.

To be honest, it look slightly different from the color perspective. Not as gloss as pictures. And now the logo “armoray” is part of the orange stitch/tread.. maybe it is latest model or probably the old model..

Since I’m having mild OCD, i still dont like the way it look compare to the one on the amazon pictures..

overall it survive sun ray test during my morning bicycle ride in Bahrain.. function wise, it feel cold a bit due to moist came out from my body and it really help the process to reduce the temperature.. no more sun burn.. i will try again this coming winter n update my review.

I had a set of arm warmers/sun blockers before that I loved. I wanted another pair but they are no longer available. I took a chance on these. Shipping was SLOW and took forever for them to arrive. Once I opened them I was disappointed to learn they are not smooth finished like other lycra/dryfit garments I have. They are a softer finish that that snags easily and becomes really thin once placed on the arm and stretched. They just seem really cheap and like they will not last long. They do the job, I just have low expectations compared to what they are replacing.

Threads pulling out

I have had issue with the one pair I’ve used so far. The threading is unraveling. At first just the fold over stitching but soon after it’s now spread to the sleeve itself. Still usable to a degree but won’t last long like this.
For the price I had hoped they would last longer. I use mine as a way to keep my arthritic elbow warmer to avoid chronic aches. For this it does work but the deteriorating of the sleeves will have me looking for better solutions

Comfortable but too sheer

I ordered these because I needed to cover my sleeve tattoos for work. I was really excited when I saw a review that said they did great covering tattoos. Unfortunately, I received them today and tried one on and was extremely disappointed because I could still see my tattoos through the cover.

They are a good quality material and would have been very easy to wear, but they do not serve the purpose I needed them for so I will be returning them.

Not a compression sleeve

I wear compression sleeves for working out and this sleeve is just something that will protect you from the sun. It goes on my arm like a stocking and has no compression at all. They should take compression out of the description and just say sun protection. I was searching for a less expensive alternative for the compression sleeves that I buy and thought I would give these a try. I will keep searching for a less expensive alternative to the one I buy but this is not the one. Will keep them and give to my sone so when he is cutting the yard his arms will be protected from the sun.
