Large size is (just barely) okay for full grown german Shepherd

These Greenies must be made of magic, because dogs cannot resist them. To us, they don't seem like they would be that delicious--they don't smell like much, and they're sort of smooth and waxy. They're firm, but with a slight give. Sort of like Starburst candy that has dried out for along time, if that makes sense. Unfortunately, they only last about 2-3 minutes, tops. In fact, an energetic chewer can get through one of these in under a minute if motivated. Nonetheless, they remain a smash hit. So much so that my parents' German Shepherd will "pay" them with his prize bouncy ball in exchange for a Greenie. If using a bouncy ball as currency isn't cute, I don't know what is.

FYI--If you can get the 24-pack for about $20, you're getting an okay price

Toxic!

I noticed these were warped maybe from sun? Well I used them on my dog anyway. Cost me $900 by the time we were done pumping his stomach and cleaning his intestine just to get the poison out. Whatever you are selling is highly toxic and you should take it down immediately, my dog went into convulsions and vomited foam. I use Greenies all the time prior to this and I get them from the store. I just started buying these Greenies from this person for convenience. Honestly I am half tempted to call a lawyer about this and wonder how many more animals this person is attempting to hurt.

I have a 65lb Golden Collie mix who is the pickiest eater. He won’t eat his dog food unless mixed well with a raw egg, has seasonal allergies up to Ying Yang and up until about 3 years ago wouldn’t touch a dog treat no matter what we tossed at him. We tried regulR milk bones, rawhide, special treats from a “cookie bar” at a pet store, pigs ears (yuck). You name it, we tried it! My neighbor at our new home loves Henry.. she religiously walks him every morning for a good 1-2 hours (depending on weather). She started giving him a Greenie everyday after their walk and now it’s the treat of choice for this household. He LOVES them. They are gone within minutes but that doesn’t bother anyone. I’m just so happy we found something he enjoys. We usually give him one in the morning
And maybe 1-2 through out the day and I would say two 36oz box of Large treats lasts almost a month. I usually buy 2 boxes at the beginning of the month and they will last me almost to the end... The price really isn’t an issue as again, I don’t buy any other treats or toys for him. He doesn’t like bones or squeaky toys. He loves balls but those we only play with outside and 1 tennis ball can last years with him. If it’s one splurge on my 4 legged friend and he loves them then it’s worth every penny!

The Greenie Song Plays Every Day at 2:00 p.m.

Our seven year old white GSD is not a big treat eater. However, he had developed some very bad breath from his raw chicken breast breakfast and wet food lunch and dinner daily. So, I decided I needed to find a dental treat for him. Of course, I didn't start with something inexpensive (not-so-bright me!) I didn't expect him to like a Greenie, so I decided to buy a bag and then move to something else. Well, that wasn't smart for my wallet, but it was great for Rupert, his breath, and his teeth. He loves them! We saw a change in breath and teeth within a few weeks.

Now, Greenies are a daily treat, and an addiction for him. My husband and Rupert take medication at 10:00, so we have an alarm that goes off at that time. We call it the Ham Song because our dog gets his meds and a little ham at that time. Then at 2:00, an alarm plays for the Greenie! He prepares his mouth with lots of licking, my husband gives him the Greenie, and Rupert leads him to the back door to go out and enjoy it. Thus, the Greenie Song and Routine are enjoyed and done!

Great product. 9 y/o 60lb boxer mix who has never had dental chew toys. Eats dry kibble with wet food treat every couple of weeks. I check my dog's teeth, they had plaque, order these, gave the dog one treat, plaque was over 50% gone. Couple of treats later, 90% gone. Only the oldest and closest to the gum line plaque is left after only 4 of these treats. Amazing. I love it when a killer product comes around. This is one. The dog loves them. She finishes them off quickly and acts very happy and thankful. Will be buying these for a long time.

Small animal veterinarian weighing in. I really love Greenies for people’s pets! Over and over again when I see a pet with nice teeth that are cleaner than I expect, I hear that they are using these chews. These are also one of the few products labels with the VOHC (veterinary oral health council) seal of approval. The seal represents a confirmation that an independent panel of veterinary professionals has studied the product and found that it does in fact do what it says it’ll do. I’ve never seen a problem as far as choking , obstruction ,etc. I personally had a dog that got diarrhea when he ate them but my current dog does just fine . I’ve heard people complain that the green color can be rough on the carpet. That, and the cost are the only potential downsides I see.

I've been feeding Greenies to my rescue dogs for almost a decade now, and they work very well. Neither one of my dogs has ever had a dental or gum issue. The dogs think it's just a treat, and I like that Greenies are American made.

Though not a substitute for regular dental checkups and cleanings per your veterinarian’s recommendations, both my dog and I absolutely love Greenies and I highly recommend them to everyone who has a dog who is not a fan of having their teeth brushed at home every day. Not only are Greenies noticeably effective for keeping my dog’s teeth and gums healthy between vet visits, but they also neutralize odors and keep his breath smelling fresh. Better yet, he absolutely LOVES them. It is his after-dinner treat and there are few things that make him more excited! Win-win and great product.

Try storing them in the freezer — they last longer and your pup has to work harder chewing on them.

The vet was suggesting I brush my dogs teeth, but doggo, an Alaskan Malamute, was not on board, and I was not up for a wrestling match. I tried these, and they actually work. The plaque on her teeth is gone. Plus my dog likes them. I give her one every night after her last walk - it's like she's brushing her teeth before bed. They are not cheap, but they are a lot cheaper than taking her to the vet to be sedated so the plaque can be scraped off her teeth.

I have tried for years to find something that would clean my dog's teeth....that they would actually put in their mouths. Mostly they would sniff at each new "treat' and walk away....wouldn't even take a bite. These were literally my LAST attempt and I was thrilled when they not only put them in their mouths but actually spent some time chewing on them....again.....big, no make that HUGE dogs who usually don't chew so much as inhale chew sticks. The love these, and spend at least a few minutes actually chewing on them....bear in mind both my dogs are over 150lbs. I have already reordered the large size and plan to make it a permanent item on my shopping list.
