Not Too Sturdy; Documentation and User Guide Lacking

I needed a new desk lamp for my Computer Desk and when Amazon offered me this Dimmable LED Table Lamp by Aogled, I thought I'd give it a shot. The results are extremely mixed.
First the good news - this lamp puts out very good light and the slide control for dimming works just fine. I am easily able to work at my computer with the light from this lamp.
However, there are several pieces of bad news. First of all, the "Product Manual" is not very helpful. There is more information on the Product Page than there is in this skimpy user guide. As is often the case with poorly worded User Manuals, some of it barely makes sense (for example -- "There isalso a timed mode, you can pick a mode you whichever you like". That is an exact quote, including the run-on "is also" as isalso. The Manual would seem to infer that you can set different times for automatic shutoff, but it doesn't say how to do that. The "Timer Mode" button has the number "45" next to it, so I think you can only set it to turn off automatically after 45 minutes. Finally, I noticed that the Product Page does specify the Auto Timer to be 45 minutes. That feature doesn't interest me, so I haven't tried it, but I would think it might matter to some people.
There is a switch for "Reading Mode" and when touched, the color and intensity of the light changes, but nowhere is it explained what this is based on or how it benefits the user when reading. There is a "Light Mode" switch, but this is also not explained. The Product Page promises "5 Light Color and 5 Brightness Levels" but none of these are explained and their advantages, if any, are not readily apparent. When you change the Light Mode or activate the Reading Mode, the light changes, but I have no clue what benefits these changes portend.
Finally, although I don't expect a lamp to last forever at the price posted on the Product Page, this lamp seems rather frail in its construction and the Product Manual cautions that, "The LED light of this product is not replaceable". So when it's gone, it's gone. And if I dropped it on a hard floor, I doubt that it would survive the fall. The Product Manual says nothing of how long it can be expected to last, but the Product Page promises a "Long lifespan 35000 hours". Of course, there is no way to confirm that. And 35,000 hours works out to about four years, mathematically, which is not a "Long lifespan" for a lamp. Of course, I'll grant you that you wouldn't keep a lamp on 24 hours a day, but my last desk Lamp -- the one this one is replacing -- is about 20 years old, and it was still working fine. I was just tired of it, but I think I got a lot more than 35,000 hours out f it.
All in all, I do like the light that this Lamp produces, I just wish the poorly worded Product Manual gave more information. As it is, the various light modes are rather baffling and I cannot recommend this Lamp very highly. My rating is Three Stars.
