Pretty neat and easy to install

I like how this just clamps over my existing mirror. No ripping open my center console.

Came with plenty of cable to feed along my liner and stick out from the license plate. I think it’s really neat how it’s touchscreen and I can switch between front and rear cameras.

I actually had the version before this one and upgraded because of the detached front camera. My visor kept hitting the mirror and now it’s way better.

I just wish it came with an SD card

The camera comes up clear on the screen and you are able to see both the front and rear views at the same time. Also the camera’s viewing angle is really wide and I can see cars near my blind spot. Overall, the rear view mirror has been really helpful for me

At 11inches, the viewing area of this mirror dashcam is fairly generous. The view can be split in 2, for viewing of the front and rear cameras simultaneously. I found that the quality is about right at this price point- recorded videos and photos appear mostly crisp and clear. Of course they would be even more clear with dashcams that cost 2 or 3 times more, but this is great for most situations. The touchscreen is pretty responsive and almost as responsive as a modern smartphone. A detached front camera is quite unusual compared to its competitors, but does allow for a more comfortable fitment of the mirror display over your existing rear view mirror.

This product is not what they advertise, first of all the images are fake, "I know "many" or all products now a day do the same" but I wouldn't mentioned this if the quality were close to what they show in the fake images, for example the night time images where they compare one picture to another, the one they say is bad, is exactly how this camera performs in low light, first of all, when a car is behind you all you see is a big blinding ball of flares that don't let you see anything, rendering this unusable as a review mirror at night, plus all the public lighting and all the lights at night shows blown out, I can't think of recording a license plate using such a bad camera performance under poor light situations, I had tried a nighttime option they have and that has nothing at all for the image quality.
Now at day time, the sky and the surroundings shows completely blown out and if you have the sun in your back the flaring and the high contrast will not let you see anything, plus the frontal camera has a very strong blue cast compared to the back camera.
If I have to say something good about this unit is that is easy to install, even if you are not an expert, just follow some videos and you're done, the design is cool and it has the option to turn the image off the mirror while still recording that way you can use the mirror as a regular mirror, but that defeat the purpose of the whole thing on being a recording device, I installed the thing and I'll leave it there recording hoping one day if I need it that it will at least prove that it was not my fault if I have an accident, but I have not high expectations on using this camera to read or identify a plate.
It is a shame this didn't worked the way it should, because it looks cool and I really like the concept.

I absolutely love this mirror. I have not yet installed it to show the reverse guidelines but using it as is I can still manage to back up with no issues. The camera quality is good. I have 5% tint on my rear window where the camera is so at night it is probably darker than it would be on a non tinted window. Easy to operate and install. Enough wiring and had some left over for my dodge journey

Where the concept of having the dash cam on a rearview mirror in this seller's design
the Sun's ray totally washout the live dash cam images
Even with the brightness set full during most of the daylight, the images cannot be seen

I contacted the seller who replied :

Regarding the issue you faced, following is the explanation:
1. Because of most of customer's demand, they don't need to watch video when driving, which it is distracting, so they will turn off display, and use it as a rearview mirror.

2. If you don't want display off, ① Increase brightness by swiping the screen right. ② Move the monitor of dash cam to different angle. ③ Try to use a dark screen protector (like the one for cell phone, tablet) to block the sun glare. ④ The mirror displays the video image and is still reflective well.
So, all you have to do is change where you focus your eyes, you can choose to see the video image or the reflected image.

Their answers make no sense is people are buying this as a dash cam and not just for seldom use and as we know you see moving objects all the time when looking in a rearview mirror

Saying to tint the mirror is not the answer as it is a touch screen and testing with a sheet of tint over the mirror then the touch screen did not work correctly
It also did not make the images brighter but instead darker and changing your eye focus just to see almost washed out images is not safe driving

It comes down to their design is not accounting for daylight and sun and no other user setting to allow making the content brighter and their idea of having to turn this dash cam on and off every time wanting to view rearward when backing up

The rear camera should be wireless as this design means depending on the vehicle you have to tear it apart to route the cable from front to outside of rear of the vehicle and even finding a way to get cable from back seat through the firewall, through the trunk to outside maybe a big chore for most to install

We are using this in an unconventional way, not exactly how it's intended to be used, but all the functions operate as expected.

This kind of cam screen does take some getting used to, but once you are accustomed to it, it's nice. The price is excellent for what you get.
